We have two one year olds! I can't believe it! I'm sure other parents can attest to how fast time flies when you have an infant. I had no idea - I mean everyone tells you how fast it goes but you can never fully understand until you live it.
Noah is 20lb 3oz and 28.5" tall. He love to dance to any song but "Shut Up and Dance With Me" is his ultimate fav (with "All About That Bass" as a close second). He loves any kind of fruit and will eat blueberries all day if I let him. He loves to sing 5 little monkeys with mom and has the walking thing down pretty good. He's even tried running a little bit (heaven help me). He is such a social butterfly when we're out in public and loves to say Hi to everyone. He can say YES, HI, DADA, & MAMA. If you ask him what a monster says (or dinosaur, tiger, lion, bear, frog, pig, giraffe, fish etc.) he replies with "RAWR!". His first haircut was the night before his 1st birthday and he is rocking it!
Elleanna is 18lb 13 oz and 28" tall. Her favorite thing to do is to read books. I catch her multiple times a day looking at book and 'reading' it to herself. She loves to babble too and always has something to say. She definitely has a strong personality and does what she wants when she wants. She has just started to walk but is quickly catching up to Noah in stability and speed. She loves when Mom sings primary songs to her and tries to sing along. Elleanna can say HI, GEE (doggie), DADA & MAMA. She has recently started dancing and loves to groove to any music.
I love my little babies and how they are definitely each their own person. Its such a testimony builder to me that as I watch their personalities blossom, it is so apparent that we are each born with unique spirits. Even with being twins its so interesting to see how different these two are. I also know that Heavenly Father knows what he's doing when he sends spirits into specific families. How blessed I am to be their mommy!

11 Months Old & Camping with twins
Our fun friends the Rankins invited us to go camping with them in June at Sylvan Lake State Park. We were anxious to get back out into the great outdoors as it had been two years since we had gone camping. Last summer I was crazy HUGE pregnant so there was no way I was going to sleep on an air mattress and walk to an outhouse to pee every two hours in the middle of the night. But we were reluctant to go this year to because, you know, TWINS. But we bit the bullet and we're so glad we did! The babies slept through both nights and we all survived. We even had a bit of fun. ;) Not to mention the campground and lake were beautiful!
I've jumped a little bit ahead in their monthly photoshoots so i'm trying to go back catch up. I feel like a lot has happened these last two months and I need to get back into our groove of life. Even looking back on these 11 month pictures makes me nostalgic. Noah and Elleanna have grown so much in such a short amount of time. Maybe its Noah's old man hair that we cut off. Maybe its the growth spurt they had this month. I don't know - I just can't believe how fast time is flying by these days.
Going on a little hike. It was hot but so green! |
Fun friends! The youngest Rankin is only 6 weeks older than Noah and Elleanna. |

A small part of me misses that little old man hair above his ears. He looks so much older now! |

Cake Smash!
I may be jumping the gun since I still haven't posted about their 11 month photoshoot yet but I wanted to put these up because I just can't handle the cuteness! It was EXHAUSTING to do this photoshoot but thankfully I had three extra sets of hands to help me pull it off. We're still finding frosting in random places.
I'll just put these right here... ;)

10 months :: A little late
I should probably blog about this because before I know it the babies will be 11 months... then a year...then in high school!!!!! AH!
This age is so fun! I love seeing their little personalities blossom. One of my favorite things is to watch them learn things so quickly. It amazes me how much they've grown and developed in such a short amount of time. I saw this quote the other day that is so applicable to me:
What a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Noah picks things up so quickly. It seems like he is learning something new every day. He even surprised us and took a few steps the other day. I think he surprised himself too because he hasn't wanted to try to really walk since then. Elleanna is catching up to Noah physically though. It took her a little bit longer to roll over and crawl but now she is our champion crawler and can even cruise around the furniture with the best of them! I wouldn't be surprised if Elleanna walks first as she is pretty much at the same development level as Noah now.
Anywho... without further ado... 10 month photoshoot!

I can't wait to do some comparison photos! Its so hard to remember how tiny they used to be. I'll probably do a post about this after they turn 1. |
Little toes! |
They move around so much now that it was hard to get them to sit still for the split second it takes to take a picture. Needless to say, I was exhausted after this photoshoot. |
